Quartier Latin is in the peaceful town of Marche-en-Famenne, 25 minutes’ drive from Durbuy. It offers wellness facilities with an indoor pool for an additional fee, an elegant gourmet restaurant and historic features such as an 18th-century Jesuit church.

Great hotel and nice food

The hotel is really nice, it's well located and his nice facilities. Super friendly staff, really helpful. The hotel has outside and underground parking. Breakfast is a buffet and plentiful, with hot and cold options. Restaurant is really good as well, maybe a bit pricey but the food was excellent.

The only negative point would be the noise of the air conditioning. It was really loud and hindered me in my sleep. As it was really hot outside, we had to have it on.

Breakfast -lots of it and the tarte de cafe was to die for….and the atmosphere of the hotel and the bathroom was spacious and so was the room. Location of the

Bed was low and soft and I got backache and bad night sleep. Swimming pool was tiny and only a part of it could be used for swimming as there were water falls, jets, and an aqua bike. With 6 people on the pool it was the impression of being packed

Wonderful

Everything was perfect! The hotel is placed in the center of the town, the staff is very kind, the room nice and clean, a king size bed, the courtesy coffee set and a bottle of water. Very good international breakfast. We really enjoyed the stay.

Poor price-quality ratio

The standard room was really spacious and very clean, even though everything was rather old and a bit worn out. The breakfast was very good: good choice of food, freshly squeezed juices. Most of the staff were very nice and helpful. The underground parking also had proper EV chargers.

I would not have complained so much if the room (and that was the standard room) was not so expensive. The worst price-quality ratio ever. On the first day of our stay we had no hot water. It was lukewarm, not warm enough for a bath or shower. The person at the reception at the time was terribly unhelpful: she told us just to let the water run (which we did for at least half an hour before and it did not help!). She also did not seem to understand English well enough to get that we had already been trying exactly that for a long while. Three hours later, which was already rather late in the evening, the hot water was back, and we had no problems at any other time, but we still did not like the dismissive attitude of the hotel's employee. There was also no mechanical ventilation in the bathroom, and the room was quickly getting very stuffy. We also missed some reading lights next to the bed. The access to the spa was also rather expensive. I don't mind paying for extras, but given how expensive the room was already, I would have expected more to be included. This was not a 4-star hotel experience

Perfect for couples

Really beautiful hotel, very clean room and friendly stuff. Nice swimming pool, good breakfast and awesome restaurant in the hotel. Unfortunately almost no one spoke English

Lovely Hotel.

Wonderful hotel building in the centre of the town. Excellent parking underground, with our reserved space. Lovely room. Great rain shower in the en-suite.

Beds are a little firm. Breakfast option for gluten free was not so good. The gluten free bread was hard and cold, as a celiac I cannot toast it in the same toaster’s as normal bread.

Very Good

Great location in the city centre with a lot of places to eat. There is quite some parking space around it, although I wouldnt suggest it with large verhicles. Great staff who were kind to answer all questions.

The swimming pool required us to pay an additional surcharge. We did not know this upfront and it seemed to be included into the room we already payed for.

A fabulous relaxing break in a wonderful location, we will book to stay here again.

It was in a central location, it was well decorated throughout. The staff that we dealt with were extremely helpful. The room was spotlessly clean, beautifully decorated with a very comfortable bed and great en-suite bathroom facilities. The air-con was a real bonus during the period we stayed there. The breakfast was delicious with a good variety of hot and cold options. We were in Marche during the Marche 1900 festivities ( we didn’t realise this was on) and had concerns re: noise at night but the room had good sound proofing even though we were directly above the square.

It would have been great to have the pool included in the price of the room but at 5 euro pp for 2 hours it was a very good deal.
